111008 - DDR Event at Bloomington Middle School

Our booth at Bloomington Middle School was a success. We were able to help with security for their event and reach over sixty kids with our red ribbon week message.

111002 - Community Service - Loma Linda

The Unit was in Loma Linda to perform a cleanup after the VA Car Show. 15 Young Marine, 4 Staff members and a guest were all on hand to ensure success.

117029 - Battalion BBQ

The Battalion met at Crooks Park for a BBQ that included a hike, drug class, and a motivating BBQ lunch.

110529 - Color Guard for Redlands Youth Wrestling Tournament

YM/LCpl Gradias proudly posted the Colors for the singing of the National Anthem. The Anthem was sung by Jordan LaSarge. The parents of the wrestlers were very impressed and his actions reflect credit upon the Young Marines.

110528 - Flags for the Fallen

The East Valley Young Marines and San Bernardino Young Marines with help from the Redlands Elks and San Bernardino Rotary Club placed flags on all of the veterans graves at Mt. View Cemetary in San Bernardino on Saturday, 5/28/11. The cemetary hosted a BBQ after. The YMs had fun as well as felt great pride in honoring heroes from WWI, WWII and subsequent wars. These grave sites told a story of patriotism and sacrafice that you don't get from history books.

110521 - TORCH Completed

Young Marine Recruits completed T.O.R.C.H. training. With the help of their fellow Young Marines, this gruelling 15 hour training ordeal was a success. At the top of the hill, these recruits received their "I am drug free" dog tags completing their first milestone as Young Marines!

On May 14, 2011, at the Adult Leaders Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina our East Valley Young Marines were

selected as Division 6 (AZ, CA, ID, OR, UT, WA) Young Marine Unit of the Year!

I would like to thank the EVYM Staff and families members for contributing to the success of our program. To all our friends thank you for allowing us to assist you in all of the different endeavers.
